Hrib Castle was built in the 16th century. The castle was initially owned by the Paplers, Ottos and Harrers, and then by the Höffers and Gandins. In 1850 it was bought by the blacksmith Fuchs, and later in 1924 by the industrialist Dolenc. After the war, the castle was nationalized, after 1948 it was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients, and since 1963 it has been an integral part of the Alma Hotel.
